How to become an IPS officer ?


It is not easy to became a IPS Officer you need to do lot's of hardwork for that position, An IPS officer has lot's of power in their hand to control down the crime in certain place. 

As you know In a district, there is only one IAS officer working for the administration. on the other hand, there are many IPS officers in the district depending on the level of crime happens in that area of the district. For becoming an IPS officer you have to creak one of the toughest exams of India, UPSC.

So, Now we will explain step by step 


How to become an IPS officer

STEP-1

After 10th Grade, you have to complete 12 and after that, you have to do graduation. It does not matter if you chose art, science, and commerce stream at the time of graduation do any stream you want.
Afterward, you have to give an exam called UPSC.
From class 10th to graduation You have 5 years in your hand to prepare your self for the IPS examination.
Start your preparation with basic, read your 10 class history, geography, economics, politics, textbooks nicely.
And also, try to read 8th and 9th std. textbook properly.
There are pradhan-Mantri episodes in youtube, Download those episodes from youtube, it will show major events of the modern history of India.
Try to read newspapers,  built the habit of reading the newspaper. Newspapers will give you the proper current affairs, So do Newspaper analysis on a daily basis. 

STEP-2

Education Qualification:-
Keen needs to be a bachelor in any discipline from a government recognized varsity to be able to sit in the civil services examination.

civil services examination is consists of 3 phases- 

(a)civil services preliminary test, 

(b)civil services mains test, and 

(c) personality test (interview). 

STEP-3

physical qualifications:-

After clearing this all tests and getting the services one needs to fulfill certain physical qualifications. 
Age minimum 21 and maximum 32, 35, and 37 for Ur category, obc and ST and SC category, in that order.
Height 165cm and 150cm for men and women respectively.
Chest grith 84cm and 79cm for men and women respectively.
Vision -4 and +4 myopic and hypermetropic (with correction).
Spectacles are allowed.
Presence of squint presence of squint is a disqualification.
Color vision high grade color vision is required.
